The Permission You Forgot You Had

It's the kind of confidence a child has when walking into a parent's room without knocking, knowing they're welcome.

This isn't a blank check for getting whatever we want. John anchors this confidence in asking "according to his will," which isn't a loophole designed to limit us. It's actually an invitation to draw close enough to God that our desires start to align with his. The promise isn't that God fulfills every whim. The promise is that he hears, and that hearing is never passive with him.
